We drove up to Southern Utah mainly because we were able to get a permit to do this hike. We’ve done it before, just not during the recently enforced permit—fall weather with cool temperatures but a lovely sunny day. In case you didn’t know, this epic hike is located in Zion National Park. If interested, see the info on their website here. The hike in itself has unmatched beauty and amazing scenery. Still, it is pretty challenging in that, depending on your skill, it could take you about 4 to 5 hours total with an elevation gain of 1,488 feet and about 5 miles total.
